Why Velus exists
The most useful career conversations already happen — in private messages, in group chats, over coffee with someone who has been through it before. They are honest because they are private. They are also trapped: the answer helps one person, once, and then it disappears.
Every public professional network asks you to perform. You cannot ask whether your salary is fair, whether your manager is unreasonable, or whether you should leave, with your name and employer attached. So the hardest questions go unasked, and the people who could answer them stay quiet.
Velus separates credibility from identity. The community sees that a reply came from a senior engineer with nine years of experience in technology — enough to weigh the answer. It never sees who they are.
