Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Velus: what membership gives you, and what it asks of you in return.

Last updated August 7, 2026

By creating a Velus account you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short, because a professional community runs on good faith more than on clauses.

Membership

  • You must be a working professional and provide accurate professional context.
  • One account per person. Accounts are personal and cannot be shared or transferred.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you write and share. By posting on Velus you grant us a licence to display, store and distribute that content within the platform so other members can read it.

Acceptable use

  • No harassment, discrimination or personal attacks.
  • No doxxing, and no attempt to identify an anonymous member.
  • No knowingly false claims about pay, contracts or the law.
  • No spam, self-promotion disguised as advice, or automated scraping.
  • No uploading material you do not have the right to share.

Moderation

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. Where possible we explain the decision. Serious or repeated breaches end membership without notice.

Availability

Velus is offered as-is during public beta. We work hard on reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for indirect losses arising from downtime.

Advice disclaimer

Perspectives shared on Velus are the personal views of individual professionals. They are not legal, financial, medical or employment advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for it.

Changes

If these terms change materially, members are notified in the product before the change takes effect.
