Velus uses as little browser storage as it can. It loads no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking for visitors in regions that require consent first (such as the EU and UK).
Strictly necessary
- Session storage that keeps you signed in between visits.
- A security token used to protect sign-in and account actions.
Preferences
- Your theme choice (light or dark).
- Your onboarding progress, so a paused setup can be resumed.
- Rooms you have joined, saved Vault items and recent searches held on this device.
Product analytics
We record aggregate events such as "a perspective was published" so we can see which parts of Velus work. These events are not tied to advertising profiles and carry no message content.
Advertising measurement
- Outside consent regions, Meta's pixel runs on our pages and reports that a sign-up was completed, so our ads can reach people likely to join. It receives your IP address and browser details and sets the Meta _fbp cookie.
- It is never sent the content of anything you write. Meta receives signup events for advertising measurement and optimization; Velus does not send email addresses or other customer matching fields.
- Use Advertising preferences on this Cookie Policy page to stop measurement on this browser immediately. We also honor Global Privacy Control. Removing your opt-out does not enable tracking in consent-required or unresolved regions, and previously blocked events are never replayed.
