How to pivot from finance to marketing?

Quit a job I was in for 6 months, started a new job around 2 weeks ago which is interesting but not what I want to pursue long term. Any advice on how I can pivot from finance to marketing in a smooth way? Should I get any marketing certifications to increase my chances of landing an entry level position?

I'd say it depends onthe specefic marketing role. Your finance background would make it easier to break into more quantative roles in marketing. Having certifications defiently help as well. Google offers lots of helpful ones.
