If you could change one thing about the way companies hire people, what would it be?

I’ve been thinking about how much of the hiring process is designed around what’s convenient for the company rather than what’s respectful of the candidate’s time. From unclear job descriptions to delayed feedback (or ghosting, which is even worse) and salary discussions happening very late in the process, there seem to be quite a few pain points.

For me, it would be transparency—clear job descriptions, realistic timelines, salary ranges, and honest communication throughout the process. Candidates deserve to know where they stand, even when the answer is no.

A clear job description with the salary ranges they are offering and a clear timeline of the hiring process. Sometimes the hiring team interviews you like 3 times before you know that the salary is mediocre relative to the work needed.
