Why verification matters

Anonymous advice is only valuable if you know it came from someone who has actually done the work. Verification is what lets Velus remove names without losing credibility.

Verifying is optional — any approved member can ask and answer without it. What it changes is weight: a ✓V reply from a Senior Finance Professional with eleven years of experience means exactly that, even though you will never know their name, and only a ✓V reply can be chosen as a Best Answer.
